One of the skills that I would like to learn would be to start a business. There are many factors that contribute to this decision of mine.

The first factor would be that this skill would allow me better access and understanding to the world of entrepreneurship. Being an entrepreneur nowadays may be as simple and as quick as a few mouse clicks but the road to success is a long and challenging one in itself. Steps on starting a business on sites like Instagram, eBay or even Carousell is not something that is unknown to the general population and many people have attempted it but in all honesty, how many people are actually successful in their attempts? Being an entrepreneur is one thing, being a successful one is another. If I could learn the skill to starting a successful business, it could possibly change my entire life, much like Jack Ma who started up one of the most successful Chinese shopping websites, Alibaba.

Another reason I would like to learn this skill is because I would be able to bring up the name of Malaysia. There aren't many Malaysian businesses that eventually emerge in the global market save for a few brands such as Jimmy Choo or British India. With the skill to start businesses, I could very easily establish a few companies. This would also allow me to bring down the unemployment rate, effectively raising the economy and productivity levels in the country besides bringing down the poverty rate.

I would also choose this skill simply because it offers the most advantages to me. Starting a business requires a lot of effort, hard work and determination but the success and rewards that you can reap will be worth it. It is the same with almost every other aspect of life, but, by being an entrepreneur and starting your own business, you may even be rich beyond your wildest dreams. Despite the money, that is not all that I am after. I seek a fairly comfortable life with few limitations and like it or not, money does play a considerable part of it. Besides that, the money and business can also be inherited by the next generation; offering them a reasonably good start in life if they succeed in managing the business.

All in all, I do believe that learning how to start a business is an extremely useful skill in life.
