Teenagers
also stress about relationship problems. These problems don’t just revolve
around romantic relationships but also involve family members and friends.
Sure, at age 15, a boy or girl not returning your feelings might feel like the
end of the world. Naïve and young, it might even drive you into doing things
that aren’t rational but one should remember that nobody is more important than
you. Feeling depressed and angry at the world when a relationship between you
and your significant other is normal but it is not the end of your life. Parental
relations also important as it enables you to express yourself without feeling
judged. Parents are there to guide you through life and offer advice when you
need it. Do not think of them simply as nagging burdens who want to complicate
your already complicated life.
Other
than that, teenagers also dread this question the most: What are you planning to
do after high school? It might seem like a very simple question but if you ask
around, you’ll find that the common answer would be that they don’t know.
Deciding your life at age 17 just seems unreal. How are you supposed to decide
what to do with your life when you can’t even decide what to eat for dinner? It
is a very real dilemma for most and many stress over it. After all, if you can’t
make up your mind, what are you going to do when the time to decide comes? Many
teenagers end up going along with the flow and let their parents decide. Some
parents may make the right call, matching their future jobs to their children’s
abilities but some may not. These teenagers often end up as unhappy adults,
dreading to head into the office every single day. It is a struggle.
There
are actually many, many other triggers in a teenager’s life but the main three
include what I’ve already mentioned. It is important to ensure your mental
health is as taken care of as your physical health. People are naturally
inclined to ask about a fractured arm or a cold, so why should mental illnesses
be any different? Overall health and balance are important and should be
prioritised.
