I recently visited Penang with my family. We left at four in the evening on Tuesday, taking a slow drive that surprisingly only lasted a short while and arrived at the famous Penang bridge at seven. We stayed at Batu Feringgi, famous for its clean beaches and clear waters. After having dinner, we stayed in.

The next day, we took a drive to Gurney Plaza to have lunch. It was packed with people as usual; being a tourist spot. The food was good and relatively cheaper in comparison to the food in Petaling Jaya. We drove around town after that, stopping at the Kek Lok Si temple to pay respects and to view the famous bronze statue of Guanyin standing at 99ft tall. It costs RM6 for a to and fro ride to the top in an inclined elevator and all the money collected would be used for the maintenance and further upgrading of the temple. After the trip to Kek Lok Si, we went to a place called Coffee Lane located in Lebuh Cina where we bought the famous Kopi Luwak for a whopping RM250 for 100 grams. It would cost approximately RM1000 for 1 kg worth of beans. After a nice dinner at Gurney Plaza, we watched a movie until the wee hours of the morning before heading back. We left the next day after an early breakfast and it was a nice trip overall.
